He is a professional photographer whose work has been mainly focused on a theme "Wild animals in the forest of Yambaru". He has a good knowledge on wild birds; he studies birds in Yambaru at all seasons.

He guides from seasonal interests at Hiji waterall to history and culture of Kunigami. He is currently working as a leader of Hiji / Hiji Waterfall Camp ground keeper

He explains about the forest of Yambaru and animals with the history of Ryukyu islands in an unique perspective. He has good knowledge on foresty and timbers of Yambaru.

Fellow guides call him "Tono"(senor in Japanese), because of his little mellow personality. He loves ocean more than his wife(anybody?).

She is "Tono"'s wife. Fellow guides call her "Mi-Ne-Ne". She guides broadly from mountain to ocean and is especially knowledgeble on the ocean.

She coordinates various educational programs including environmental education as a facilitator. With her working experiences in development in East Africa, she felt the same passion toward local community development that KUTA intend to accomplish and has joined KUTA. lives in Higashi village.
